Julia is P&C’s Chief Data Scientist. She has over 20 years of experience and is a subject matter expert in cognitive computing, big data analytics, data mining and warehousing, and complex platform integration. Julia has particular domain expertise in IT transformation, digital reinvention, agile methodologies, and creating revealing insights from data to improve corporate performance. Her industry expertise includes retail, healthcare (payers and institutional providers), transportation, and financial services.
Julia began her career with Experian where she held the position of Manager of Data Modeling for the Financial Services sector products of the company – leveraging complex data sets provided by customers and combining them with Experian’s vast consumer data repositories to deliver unique insights and opportunities back to Experian’s clients which enabled them to better serve their customers, maximize revenues, and manage complex and highly-interwoven risk scenarios. From there, Julia joined IBM and served customers across the globe to create the unique cognitive computing solutions from IBM Watson. Following her tenure at IBM, she joined Groupe Galeries Lafayette where she served in a variety of data management, analytics, and consumer insights leadership functions at the Group’s consumer financial services subsidiary, Cofinoga, then one of the largest consumer lenders in Europe (now part of BNP Paribas).

Developing and implementing a performance improvement program for a European apparel retailer that transformed key aspects of the company’s procurement, merchandising, marketing, real estate, and store options. Delivered €105M in annual cost savings and increased shareholder value by over €2.8 billion since the start of the engagement.
Developing and implementing a robust analytics platform which enabled a large U.S. health insurer to improve medical outcomes for their subscribers, reduce annual costs by $115 million and identified an additional $300 million of annual cost reduction opportunities from fraud and prevention of catastrophic healthcare claims.
Developing an inventory and store rationalization program for a major U.S. automotive parts and services retailer which delivered $85 million in performance improvements within 9 months and identified strategic M&A options to optimize market share and dramatically improve return on equity.
Developing and implementing a fleet rationalization program for a global airline that resulted in $148 million in annual cost savings within 14 months.
Developing and implementing an omnichannel strategy, optimized global logistics solution, and mobile application for a legendary European fashion house which delivered a 7x increase in mobile revenues and 10x increase in mobile engagement in one year.
