Redesigning the Post-Pandemic Workplace

There is no going back to the pre-pandemic workplace—on that we can all agree; however, we should begin asking ourselves how we can build upon the digital innovations (adopted out of necessity) to further transform our businesses, instead of returning to ways that were becoming outdated and obsolete even before the pandemic. The pandemic taught us that remote work can be highly effective—to a degree. Widespread remote working also has some significant drawbacks. Areas that fall behind include innovation, new projects, maintaining culture, and mentoring/coaching. These areas need our attention and are crucial to the future of our businesses. Rethinking the workplace also opens up new prospects for rethinking the ‘workforce’, which further opens up a great opportunity to explore and experiment, and ultimately reinvent the future of work itself.
