Kristian Stendahl

Kristian Stendahl, with residences in both Vienna and Toronto, is P&C Global’s Managing Director of Enterprise Security and Resiliency. With over 20 years of experience in the field, Kristian’s expertise and portfolio of responsibilities at P&C Global spans risk assessment and mitigation, security team training and management, policy enforcement, compliance, and proactive security planning.

Previously, Kristian served as the Head of Corporate Security at Siemens, where he played a pivotal role in enhancing the security structure of the organization. Prior to that, he led the Risk Assessment and Mitigation division at Volkswagen AG and initiated his professional journey in the corporate world as an Enterprise Security Analyst at Bosch GmbH.

Kristian’s adeptness in handling complex corporate security and risk assessment situations has seen him being called upon by our client engagement teams. His engagement with our client teams has led to impactful outcomes for many clients including:

• In the manufacturing industry, Kristian led a comprehensive risk assessment initiative that resulted in identifying significant vulnerabilities and implementing countermeasures, thereby mitigating potential losses for the client.
• Within the banking sector, he devised a proactive security plan that fortified the client’s IT infrastructure, significantly decreasing the likelihood of successful cyber-attacks.
• For a luxury retail client, Kristian developed and rolled out a security training and management program, enhancing staff awareness and incident response times significantly.

Kristian is a proud graduate of the University of Vienna, where he earned his undergraduate degree in Criminology; and the University of Toronto and London School of Economics where he completed dual graduate programs culminating in a Master of Global Affairs with emphases in Global Security (MGA) and Master of Public Administration with emphases in Global Policy, respectively.  Supplementing his academic knowledge, Kristian is a decorated former Austrian military officer with specialized training in intelligence and security.

His postgraduate credentials include being a Certified Protection Professional by ASIS International, Certified Information Systems Security Professional by (ISC)², Offensive Security Certified Professional, and a Global Industrial Cyber Security Professional.

An avid skier, Kristian takes advantage of the Austrian winters to hit the slopes whenever he can. He also has a soft spot for Canadian ice hockey and is a steadfast supporter of the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Reflecting on the unique challenges of his role, Kristian notes: “Managing security for a globe-trotting workforce and high-profile visitors is like being the director of a blockbuster movie where all the actors are doing their own stunts, in different time zones. I have to ensure that everyone lands safely, looks good doing it, and returns for the sequel!”
