Sandra Matasuki, the Director of Executive Search for the Asia and Oceania regions at P&C Global, is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in the recruitment industry. Her expertise spans across strategic planning, process improvement, leadership of her team, talent acquisition operations, and candidate sourcing and development, leadership development, and succession planning making her an integral part of P&C Global’s growth and success.

Sandra’s career began at Heidrick & Struggles, one of the top global executive search firms, where she quickly rose to the position of Associate. Her knack for identifying top-tier talent and her strategic approach to recruitment were instrumental in filling numerous high-profile roles for clients across various industries.

Her next career move took her to Spencer Stuart, another leading executive search firm, where she served as the Senior Associate. Here, she honed her skills in executive search, talent management, and recruitment operations, further solidifying her reputation as a trusted recruitment professional.

Prior to joining P&C Global, Sandra held a significant role at Accenture, where she was the Talent Acquisition Lead for the Asia Pacific region. Her efforts significantly enhanced the firm’s talent pool, contributing to its overall growth and success.

At P&C Global, Sandra leads the executive search operations for the Asia and Oceania regions, overseeing an average of 230 annual searches for the firm’s internal roles and over 185 executive searches for P&C Global’s clients including Global 500 CEOs and other C-suite and specialty talent roles. Her portfolio of responsibilities includes developing and implementing recruitment strategies, improving recruitment processes, managing recruitment marketing, and partnering with her internal and external client executives on an array of strategic initiatives including talent management, leadership development, and succession planning.

Under Sandra’s leadership, P&C Global has seen significant growth worldwide and a major expansion in Asia and Oceania. Some of her major accomplishments include:

  • Executive Placement: Sandra successfully placed over 50 C-suite executives in leading companies across Asia and Oceania, significantly enhancing P&C Global’s reputation in these regions.
  • Market Expansion: She played a pivotal role in expanding P&C Global’s presence in new markets, including China, Japan, and Australia, by securing key client accounts in these regions and overseeing the construction, staffing, and opening of its offices in Beijing and Tokyo.
  • Talent Retention: Through her innovative talent management strategies, Sandra has achieved a 90% retention rate for placed candidates, ensuring continuity and stability for P&C Global’s clients.
  • Client Satisfaction: Under her leadership, P&C Global achieved a 95% client satisfaction rate for executive search services in the Asia and Oceania regions.

Sandra holds a BA in Business Administration from the Haas School of Business at University of California, Berkeley, an MBA from Stanford University, a postgraduate Executive Certificate in Human Resources Management from the University of Southern California, and a graduate of the Talent Acquisition Certificate Program from Academy to Innovate HR (AIHR).

When she’s not navigating the intricate world of recruitment, Sandra channels her energy into her passion for Pilates, her commitment to regular exercise, and her love for swimming. Regardless of her location, due to her work-related travels, she ensures her fitness routine remains unbroken. This dedication to maintaining her health and wellness, even on the go, has become a running joke among her colleagues, who often suggest she could easily transition into a career as a fitness instructor.

When Sandra isn’t busy with her recruitment work or keeping up with her fitness routine, she and her husband, a charming Canadian, have a rather unique and entertaining hobby that they share – they are avid ‘language chasers’. As they traverse the globe together, they make it a point to learn and converse in the local language of every destination they visit. Between them, they fluently speak six languages, but ironically, the only language they share in common is English. This often leads to hilarious situations where they communicate in English while the world around them buzzes in a different language. Their linguistic adventures have become a source of endless amusement and a testament to their shared love for learning and exploration.

Reflecting on her tenure at P&C Global, Sandra says, “Joining P&C Global has been a transformative experience for me. I’ve seen the firm grow from a small team to a global powerhouse, and I’m proud to have played a part in that journey. But what I value most is the camaraderie and the shared sense of purpose that we have here at P&C Global. We’re not just colleagues, we’re a team, and together, we’re shaping the future of the business world.”

With her extensive experience, strategic approach to recruitment, and a proven track record of success, Sandra Matasuki is a key player in P&C Global’s continued growth and success.
